Enemmän tehoa. Mavenissa on lähes 50% enemmän jarrutustehoa kuin aiemmassa lippulaivamallissa Codessa. Vaikka teho onkin yksi jarrujen oleellisimmista asioista, teholla ei juuri tee mitään ilman sen hyvää hallintaa. Maven vaatii kolmanneksen vähemmän jarrukahvan puristusvoimaa saavuttaakseen saman tehon kuin Codet, vähentäen käsien väsymistä ja mahdollistaen kovempaa ajamisen pidempään.
Neljä erittäin suurta jarrumäntää, kaksi 19,5mm ja kaksi 18mm, tuottavat reilusti enemmän tehoja jarrupaloihin. Suuremmat jarrumännät on suunniteltu yhdessä jarrukahvan kanssa erinomaisen puristussuhteen saavuttamiseksi. Sramin jarruilla aiemmin ajaneet ovat heti kotonaan jarrujen kanssa. Tutun tuntuinen jarrukahva, kahvan etäisyyden säätö, jarrutuksen kontaktin säätö ja yleinen ergonomia ovat tuttua taattua laatua Codeista.
Swinglink tehonhallinta muuttaa jarrun tuottamaa tehoa jarrukahvan liikkeen mukana. Mitä pidemmälle kahvaa vetää, sitä enemmän tehoa jarru tuottaa. Progressiivinen tehontuotto on yksi oleellisimmista asioista hallitun ja samalla tehokkaan jarruttamisen saavuttamiseksi.
Erittäin tukeva jarrukaliperi. Neljä massiivista kiristyspulttia eivät ole vain näön vuoksi, vaan estävät jarrua elämästä ja siten vähentävät materiaalin elämisestä johtuvaa tehohäviötä.
Sopiva jarrulevyn koko? Suurempi ei aina välttämättä ole parempi, ainakaan silloin kun itse jarru on riittävän hyvä. Sram suosittelee Mavenin kohdalla kokeilemaan erikokoisia jarrulevyjä, aloittaen pienimmästä ja tarpeen mukaan siirtyen suurempaan, miksi? Liian suuri jarrulevy ei välttämättä lämpene koskaan optimaaliseen lämpötilaan, eikä jarru pure silloin kuten suunniteltu. Expert Kitin kanssa kokeilu on helppoa, sillä mukana tulee useita jarrulevykokoja adaptereineen. Jarrulevyn värimuutoksista on helppo haarukoida sopiva koko omaan käyttöön: 1. Ruskea tai pronssinen värimuutos tarkoittaa optimia 2. Lila tai sateenkaaren värien värimuutos tarkoittaa että jarrulevyt kuumenevat liikaa ja olisi syytä vaihtaa suurempaan 3. Ei värimuutoksia, jarrulevy ei lämpene tarpeeksi ja pienempi levy olisi parempi.

Reach Adjust | The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever are a very personal matter. Not only hand sizes and finger lengths vary, each rider also has individual position preferences. With the reach adjustment, the lever can be easily set up – for maximum control with just one finger.
Contact Point Adjustment | Some riders like the immediate power transfer of a short lever travel, while others prefer the feel of a longer lever travel. Contact point adjustment allows you to determine the position at which the brake engages, making it quick and easy to adjust to your needs without having to move the brake pads.
SwingLink™ | SRAM disc brakes are characterized by an optimized actuation of the brake pads, which provides a shorter idle travel at the brake lever. To ensure that this is not at the expense of modulation, SRAM has developed the special SwingLink™ cam shape, which creates a perfect balance between power and precision when the brake pad and brake disc come into contact.
Bleeding Edge™ | In this brake fluid circuit, the bleed hole has been relocated to the underside of the caliper so that all four piston bores can access it. This naturally fills the caliper with fluid during bleeding and allows for correspondingly easier and more consistent maintenance.
