DH WorldCup courses today are steep technical monsters with constantly changing conditions. For this you need a mid-spike tyre that can handle dry, loose and extended corners as well as some mud. The Shorty is such a tyre. A large-volume two-ply carcass makes it more versatile than the mud tyre WetScream. Large, high and slightly staggered side studs penetrate loose ground and ensure predictable rounding of curves at the speed of light. In the middle, two types of lugs alternate: Rectangular and square, with a strong bite when braking and excellent self-cleaning properties.

Dual Ply Casing
In Maxxis Downhill tyres, two plies of fabric are combined and wrapped around the bead cores. The finished carcass then has four layers on the sidewalls and six layers under the tread.
