Alpina Root MIPS -kypärä
Jet-kypärä on omimmillaan poluilla – ja se on saavuttanut paikkansa kultaisena keskitienä: mukava ja hyvin tuulettuva ylämäessä, turvallinen ja nopea alamäessä. Root MIPS -kypärässä on myös MIPS-kerros, joka on suunniteltu vähentämään kallon pyörimiseen kohdistuvia voimia viistojen iskujen yhteydessä. Kypärän rakenne ulottuu korvien yli tarjoten merkittävästi paremman suojan kuin puolikypärä, erityisesti sivuttaisissa iskuissa. Korvien kohdalla käytetty EPP-materiaali (monitiheyksinen vaahto), joka ei menetä suojaavaa vaikutustaan edes useiden iskujen jälkeen, on sijoitettu myös kypärän takaosaan. Kiinteä lipa ohjaa ilman kypärän suuriin ilmanvaihtokanaviin ja viilentää päätä tehokkaasti.
Root MIPS -kypärässä on korkeussäädettävä istuvuusjärjestelmä, jolla kypärän saa säädettyä täydellisesti päähän. Kypärää voi käyttää myös niskatuen kanssa. Root MIPS tarjoaa suojaa, mukavuutta ja ajonautintoa.

CERAMIC SHELL

EPP

HI-EPS

Alpina Root MIPS Helmet

The helmet construction, which is pulled over the ears, offers significantly more safety than a half-shell helmet, especially in the event of side impacts. In addition, the EPP used on the ears, a Multi Density material that does not lose its protective effect even after repeated impacts, is used at the rear of the helmet. The fixed shield directs the air into the large ventilation channels of the Root MIPS and thus cools the head. The Root MIPS has a height-adjustable fitting system to adjust the helmet perfectly to your head. It is also possible to wear a neck brace. Technologies
3D-FIT
The height of the run system at the back of the head can be adjusted using the 3D fit system. The helmet can be perfectly adjusted to the head in five stages. This increases wearing comfort, safety and accuracy of fit.
CERAMIC SHELL
All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process have a robust ceramic shell. In this process, a polycarbonate plate is stretched under high heat to the shape of the future helmet and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic Shell is characterized by several qualities: It is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.
EDGE PROTECT
Edge Protect is an additional polycarbonate plate that enhances Inmold helmets. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This protects the Hi-EPS and increases the durability of the helmet.
EPP
EPP is a multi-density material that does not lose its protective effect even after repeated impacts. Expanded polypropylene (EPP) makes a helmet even more robust and durable. EPP is used in helmets such as the ALPINA ROOTAGE EVO at strategic points, such as the ears and neck area, to ensure optimum safety.
HI-EPS
The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS ensures optimum protection and at the same time enables extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes.
INMOLD
In the Inmold production process, the polycarbonate upper shell of the helmet is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under high heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable bond between the upper and lower shells. Advantage: The helmet is very light and extremely stable at the same time.
MIPS
MIPS is a system that protects against brain injuries that can be caused by rotational movements in the event of an impact. The low-friction insert enables a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions and thus reduces the rotational movement in the event of a fall. MIPS thus offers additional protection.
RUN SYSTEM ERGO FLEX MIPS
The first fitting system with integrated MIPS. The RUN SYSTEM ERGO FLEX MIPS offers individual, height-adjustable adjustment of the helmet. This combination not only increases comfort, but also ensures additional safety in the event of impacts with rotational forces.
