REX Black Magik Drip Wax 90 ml is a high-performance liquid chain wax for clean, low-friction, and long-lasting lubrication of bicycle drivetrains. It brings the benefits of hot waxing to an easy-to-apply bottle, meaning there is no need to remove the chain for waxing.
Black Magik forms a dry and clean wax surface on the chain that does not collect dirt the same way traditional oil-based chain lubricants do. It is suitable for use as-is on a clean chain or as a supplement to REX Black Diamond Hot Wax between maintenance intervals.
REX Black Magik Drip Wax chain wax for road, gravel, and mountain biking
Black Magik Drip Wax is designed for the rider who wants a wax-based drivetrain without needing a hot wax pot for every maintenance session. According to REX, the product's advanced emulsion process turns the wax into extremely small micro-droplets, and as the water evaporates, genuine REX wax remains on the chain. In practice, after drying, the chain feels almost like it has been hot-waxed: during the break-in period, excess wax sheds from the surface and the lubricant settles inside the rollers and links.
The wax works both as an independent chain lubricant and as a maintenance product for a hot-waxed chain. REX recommends applying the wax generously to a clean chain and allowing it to dry overnight. After riding in wet conditions, the chain should be wiped dry and a new layer of wax applied to maintain lubrication and reduce the risk of surface rust. According to the manufacturer, one 90 ml bottle provides about 40 applications when the wax is applied generously to both sides of the chain.
