Description

ONEUP DROPPER POST V3

Maximum travel in the shortest possible package

The OneUp Dropper Post V3 is a lightweight, low-profile dropper post for trail, enduro, XC, and e-mountain bikes. The V3’s extremely low stack height and short overall length allow for long travel even in frames with limited seat tube clearance.

Travel options are available from 90–240 mm, and the post travel can be reduced by 10 or 20 mm depending on the user’s measurements and the bike's geometry.

NOTE! Remote not included!

You can make even the lightest post 10g lighter with a titanium bolt kit:

Dropper Post - V3

MAINTENANCE!

It is recommended to perform cleaning and greasing of the upper bushing every 25 hours of riding, a full clean and grease service every 75–100 hours of riding, and a full rebuild every 250–350 hours of riding.

The lightest, longest service interval, smoothest, and most reliable dropper post to fit your bike.

The V3 is the lightest infinitely adjustable dropper post on the market. It features a shorter overall length and stack height than competitors, 20 mm of adjustable travel, an industry-leading 350-hour service interval, and new ultra-low friction IGUS® bushings and SKF® seals. Plus, you can reduce the total weight by another 10 grams with the Titanium Bolt Upgrade Kit.

Lightest.
This is the lightest infinitely adjustable dropper post on the market – even lighter than 2-position XC-specific lightweight posts. Suitable for riders of all sizes and weights, and all riding styles. You can save another 10 grams with the Ti Bolt Upgrade Kit.

Smoothest.
This is the best dropper you will ever ride. 75% less force is required to drop the saddle, and the ultra-low friction self-lubricating IGUS® bushings and low-friction SKF® dust wiper keep the V3 post moving smoothly for longer, with less maintenance.

Most Reliable.
The simple, robust, low-maintenance design is very easy to service at home using only the OneUp EDC multi-tool or three basic tools (14 mm wrench, 2 mm and 5 mm hex keys). Additionally, we recommend service only every 350 hours – an exceptionally long service interval for a dropper.

V3 Dropper - Travel adjustment instructions

Tools required:

10 travel adjustment pins (included with dropper)
Slickoleum grease (included with dropper)
Strap wrench (to open the collar, if not possible by hand)
Lint-free cloth
Installation time approx. 10 minutes. Difficulty: Easy.

Travel adjustment can be done while the bike is ride-ready – almost without tools, and there is no need to remove the saddle or use a shock pump. Shortening the travel increases bushing overlap and guide pin length, which is particularly beneficial for heavier riders.

240 mm Dropper Post – adjustable down to 220 mm

210 mm Dropper Post – adjustable down to 190 mm

180 mm Dropper Post – adjustable down to 160 mm

150 mm Dropper Post – adjustable down to 130 mm

120 mm Dropper Post – adjustable down to 100 mm

90 mm Dropper Post – adjustable down to 70 mm

STEP 1: COMPRESS THE DROPPER

Press the remote lever and compress the dropper to approximately mid-travel.

STEP 2: REMOVING THE MID CAP

Unscrew the mid cap assembly (8,9) by hand or with a strap wrench if necessary. Then slide it upwards towards the saddle end of the post.

Press the remote lever to extend the post and separate the upper bushing (10) from the lower post section. Then slide the bushing upwards towards the saddle end of the post.

STEP 3: INSTALL TRAVEL ADJUSTMENT PINS

Once the mid cap assembly (8,9) and upper bushing (10) are moved aside, you have free access to the five travel adjustment channels.

10 mm travel reduction: Install the first five 10 mm travel pins (18) by sliding one pin into each of the guide channels in the upper tube (1).

20 mm travel reduction: Once the first five 10 mm pins are in place, gently push each pin into the guide channel with your finger until you can install the next five 10 mm pins.

STEP 4: COMPRESS THE DROPPER

Once the travel pins (18) are in their guide channels, press the remote lever and slowly lower the post to mid-travel. The operation should be smooth. If the movement feels stiff or requires force, stop and check that the travel pins are properly seated before continuing.

STEP 5: GREASE AND INSTALL UPPER BUSHING

Lubricate the upper bushing (10) inside and out with light suspension grease. You can also apply a little grease to the upper tube (1) just above the lower tube (13). Slide the upper bushing back over the upper tube and then seat it into the lower tube by pressing it with your thumb and index finger. It should look as shown in the picture.

STEP 6: TIGHTEN THE MID CAP ASSEMBLY

NOTE: When the mid cap assembly is removed from the lower tube, the dropper can extend further than its maximum functional length. Ensure you compress the dropper to mid-travel before screwing the mid cap assembly back onto the lower tube.

Once the upper bushing (10) is fully seated inside the lower tube (13), slide the mid cap assembly (8,9) down and screw it onto the lower tube by hand. Once hand-tight, we recommend tightening it further with a strap wrench.

STEP 7: CHECK OPERATION

Cycle the post a few times to ensure smooth movement. If excess grease collects on the dust wiper (9), wipe it off with a cloth. If there is more grease than necessary, it may seep through the wiper during the first few uses. This is normal. If you notice excess grease on the wiper, wipe it away so it does not collect debris. This seepage of excess grease usually only lasts for a couple of rides.

Congratulations! You have now successfully completed the travel adjustment of your V3 dropper post.

Now just go ride!

If problems occur, first check that you have completed all the above steps correctly.

If problems persist, please send an email to support@oneupcomponents.com. Include a detailed description of the problem. Photos are helpful.
