Extremely warm merino base layer for cold-weather cycling

The Löffler transtex Merino 260 is an extremely warm long-sleeved technical base layer for cold winter conditions. The combination of merino wool and technical fibers provides effective thermal insulation, wicks moisture away from the skin, and dries significantly faster than traditional thick wool garments.

The high turtleneck protects the neck from the cold and wind chill, making the shirt particularly suitable for winter cycling, mountain biking on cold days, and other prolonged outdoor activities. Löffler designs the Merino 260 series specifically for very cold conditions and situations where active movement alternates with calmer periods.

The warmth of merino wool and the moisture-wicking properties of transtex® material

The material combines 44% merino wool with polypropylene, partially recycled polypropylene, polyamide, and elastane. Merino wool provides natural warmth, softness, and odor-reducing properties, while the technical fibers enhance moisture transport away from the skin and accelerate drying.

This makes the shirt particularly practical for active winter cycling: sweat is efficiently moved away from the skin during climbs and high-exertion periods, but the warm material also provides protection when the pace slows down, on descents, and during breaks.

Löffler uses mulesing-free merino wool in this product.

Seamless construction sits close to the skin

The structure made with transtex® circular knitting technology reduces annoying seams and enables a body-hugging yet flexible fit. The Slim Fit cut is designed to be worn close to the skin, which allows for effective moisture transport and makes it easy to layer other garments on top.

The elastic knit follows the body's movements and does not restrict riding positions. The long sleeves and high collar add protection to areas where heat is easily lost in cold weather.

Especially suitable for winter layering

The Merino 260 functions as the first layer against the skin. Depending on the temperature and the intensity of the ride, you can wear items such as a thermal jersey, cycling jacket, or a wind- and waterproof shell jacket over it.
