Description
Shimano SH-XC703W – high-performance women's SPD shoe for racing and efficient off-road riding
The Shimano SH-XC703W is a women's SPD-compatible cycling shoe designed for competitive XC, gravel and cyclocross riding. It clearly sits in the performance category, making it a great choice for riders who want a very secure fit, efficient power transfer and a lightweight, race-ready feel without opting for the most expensive top model in the range. Built on a women's last, its design supports a natural fit and makes it an excellent option for both intensive training and competitive racing.
Shimano SH-XC703W – technical women's off-road shoe for SPD pedals
The SH-XC703W is designed for racing, with a fit based on Shimano's Surround Wrapping upper construction. This design wraps evenly around the foot, reduces material overlap and creates a snug, glove-like feel. The low-profile cross-lacing at the forefoot supports the ball of the foot and helps keep it securely in place during hard accelerations, climbs and technical riding.
The closure system features two BOA L6 Type Z dials, allowing the fit to be precisely adjusted in different areas of the foot. This provides a significantly more precise and even fit than single-dial systems. With the foot securely supported, power transfer is improved and control is maintained even on longer, harder rides.
The shoe's carbon-reinforced midsole is exceptionally light and stiff, supporting efficient pedalling and reducing energy loss. Its low-profile midsole brings the foot closer to the pedal, improving stability and pedalling efficiency. The Shimano ULTREAD XC rubber outsole provides extra grip when you need to walk or run with your bike, while the adjustable stud mounts offer added security in mud, soft terrain and demanding race conditions.
The SH-XC703W is an excellent choice for riders looking for a lightweight, stiff and race-ready SPD shoe for XC, gravel and cyclocross. It offers an excellent combination of fit, pedalling efficiency and the practicality required for off-road riding.
