Shimano SH-GE900 Cycling Shoe for Clipless Pedals, Black

Shimano SH-GE900 – a top-tier SPD shoe for aggressive trail and enduro riding

The Shimano SH-GE900 is a high-performance clipless cycling shoe designed specifically for fast-paced trail, enduro and gravity riding. It sits at the top of Shimano's gravity range, with a focus on strong pedal grip, a stable fit and bike control on technical terrain. The GE900 is ideal for riders who want more support, protection and precision from an SPD shoe than a standard mountain bike shoe can offer.

Shimano SH-GE900 – a technical mountain bike shoe for SPD pedals

The SH-GE900 features a Shimano ULTREAD GE outsole, optimised for enduro and gravity riding. Its tread pattern and rubber compound are designed to provide reliable grip on the pedals and while walking, which is important when a ride involves pushing your bike, steep climbs or technical sections. The extended pedal channel enhances SPD stability even when your foot is not fully clipped into the pedal.

The shoe features a TORBAL 2.0 midsole, which provides controlled torsional flex along the outer edge and helps improve bike control, especially on steep descents and through hard turns. The carbon-reinforced midsole boosts pedalling efficiency and makes the shoe sturdy enough for aggressive riding. Shimano gives the model a stiffness index of 7, making it supportive yet still controlled enough for gravity use.

The fit is supported by a protected BOA L6 dial and an instep strap, allowing you to adjust the tightness precisely and securely, even when riding hard. The shoe also features a flexible neoprene ankle collar that helps keep debris and dirt out. The synthetic leather upper is built to withstand wear and dry quickly, making this model a practical choice for changing riding conditions.

The Shimano SH-GE900 is an excellent choice for riders looking for a high-quality SPD shoe for clipless pedals for trail, enduro, downhill and bike park use. Its black colour gives it a sleek look that is easy to pair with other gear, while the overall design prioritises control, protection and confidence on demanding terrain.
