Instructions for use
Clean the chain thoroughly before initial use. Black Magik Drip Wax works best on a completely clean chain so that the wax can reach the internal parts of the chain and not sit on top of old oil or dirt.
Before application, shift the chain to the largest or smallest cog so that the chain is at a maximum cross angle. According to the manufacturer, this opens up more space between the chain plates and rollers, helping the wax penetrate deeper into the chain.
Apply the wax generously to the cleaned chain while backpedaling. Continue spinning for a moment so that the wax spreads evenly and absorbs into the entire chain.
Allow the wax to dry properly before riding, preferably overnight. The product's performance is based on a drying wax surface, so riding too soon will reduce the cleanliness and durability of the lubrication.
If you use Black Magik as maintenance lubrication for a hot-waxed chain, it is sufficient to wipe the chain with a cloth before a new application.
