The Orbea Kimu 24 H20 is a high-quality 24-inch kids’ bike for active young riders who need a lightweight, easy-to-handle bike suited to a wide range of uses. Its aluminum frame, rigid Orbea Kimu fork, 8-speed Microshift drivetrain and hydraulic Clarks disc brakes make it a reliable choice for school trips, gravel roads, forest trails and longer group rides.
The 24” wheel size adds rolling speed and stability compared with smaller kids’ bikes, while the bike stays light and agile for a child. Kenda Booster 24x2.20” tires give good grip on loose gravel and light off-road terrain and also work well on asphalt in everyday riding. The simple 1x8 drivetrain makes shifting easy because there is no separate front derailleur.
A growth-adjustable stem, low seatpost, child-friendly brake levers, pedals with reflectors and a fork-mounted mudguard make the Kimu 24 H20 a practical kids’ bike for active riding from day one.
Orbea Kimu 24 H20 – a junior bike that makes riding easier and more fun
The Orbea Kimu 24 H20 is designed for children and juniors for whom cycling is becoming more than short rides around the yard. Its lightweight aluminum frame, 24-inch wheels and mountain bike-style geometry make it a good choice for a rider who wants to ride longer distances, try new routes and develop their riding skills safely.
The rigid Orbea Kimu fork keeps the bike light and simple. Without the extra weight of a suspension fork, the bike is easier to accelerate, lift and control, which is especially important on a kids’ bike. The 24” wheels roll steadily on rougher surfaces and help young riders keep better control on gravel roads, forest trails and in varied everyday riding.
The drivetrain is a Microshift M6185 8-speed system. The 28-tooth chainring and 11–42T cassette offer a wide gear range for both flat and hillier routes. The 1x design makes it simple to use: the child only needs to use one shifter and does not have to learn to use a front derailleur.
Clarks M2 hydraulic disc brakes with levers designed for children offer a light feel, good braking power and easy modulation. Hydraulic disc brakes are especially useful when the surface is wet, the speed increases or the route includes descents and loose gravel. The braking feel helps the child learn controlled and confident riding.
Kenda Booster K1277 24x2.20” tires make the bike versatile. The wide tire adds grip and comfort on gravel, grass and light trails but rolls easily enough for school trips and other everyday riding. WH 2.0 aluminum wheels are designed to withstand active use, and the 28-spoke construction keeps the whole strong.
Practical details make the Kimu 24 H20 a longer-lasting choice for a growing rider. Orbea’s growing stem can be lengthened with a spacer, helping the bike fit the child for longer.
