The Suomi Tyres Routa W124 is a fast-rolling 28" studded tire for commuting, hybrid, gravel, and city cycling. Its 124 steel studs provide grip on icy and snowy roads, while the winter-specific rubber compound maintains flexibility in the cold. A reflective sidewall improves visibility in the dark.
The Suomi Tyres Routa W124 is a 42-622 size studded tire designed for Nordic winter conditions, suitable for commuting, hybrid, gravel, and city bikes. The Routa tread pattern is designed to perform in variable winter conditions—from wet late-autumn roads to snow and ice—without a needlessly heavy rolling feel.
The tire features 124 steel studs placed to offer extra grip, particularly on icy asphalt and hard-packed snow. The less dense stud pattern makes the W124 version a great choice for cyclists who do much of their winter riding on plowed roads but still need extra security for icy sections.
Routa's winter rubber compound is developed for cold conditions and retains its flexibility in freezing temperatures. The siped structure of the tread increases grip on snow and wet surfaces even when the studs cannot penetrate the ground.
The tire utilizes a lightweight Skinwall construction and a reinforced casing designed to improve puncture protection and durability for daily winter riding. The reflective strip on the sidewall increases lateral visibility in dark traffic conditions.
The Suomi Tyres Routa W124 is manufactured for Nordic conditions, and Suomi Tyres winter tires use steel studs made in Finland.
