The Routa tire was designed with the premise that a studded tire must perform in a wide range of conditions, not just on ice. The studding consists of 244 steel-bodied carbide studs, positioned to provide balanced grip during braking and cornering without unnecessarily compromising rolling efficiency.

The Routa has been developed to be not only grippy but also fast. Its rolling characteristics were fine-tuned through testing at the Wheel Energy laboratory in Finland, where the tire was found to be exceptionally fast-rolling for a studded tire. Tubeless Ready compatibility allows for inner-tube-free setups, which improves ride comfort and reduces rolling resistance. All Routa tires feature a reflective strip on the sidewall, which enhances visibility in dark and dim conditions. The tire is manufactured in Finland, which is evident in its quality and finish.
