Description
Wolf Tooth Fat Paw Grips XL Black - grips
Wolf Tooth Fat Paw Grips XL are extra-long and thick silicone grips for off-road, touring, and adventure cycling. The XL model's 160 mm length provides more room than standard grips for changing hand position and helps cover the gap between the handlebar grip and controls. The soft 36–37 mm grip dampens vibration and provides a good hold with or without cycling gloves.
Detailed product description
Wolf Tooth Fat Paw Grips XL are based on the popular Fat Paw silicone grip but are 25 mm longer than the standard model. The XL version has an overall length of 160 mm, while the standard Fat Paw model is 135 mm long. The extra length allows you to change hand position during long days in the saddle and is also suitable for bikes where the handlebar is exposed between the standard grip and the shifter.
The XL designation refers to the length of the grip. The installed diameter is approximately 36–37 mm, the same size as the standard Fat Paw model. The thick 9.5 mm silicone layer provides a soft grip and dampens vibration, impacts, and high-frequency vibration transmitted from the handlebar.
Wolf Tooth's dual-density silicone compound adapts to the shape of the hand and distributes pressure over a wider area. This can reduce the need to grip the handlebar tightly and help prevent hand fatigue on long and uneven routes. The large diameter is particularly suitable for large hands, riders wearing thick cycling gloves, and cyclists seeking a soft and highly dampening grip.
The tacky silicone surface provides a secure feel in both dry and wet conditions, with or without cycling gloves. Fat Paw XL is a traditional push-on handlebar grip, so it does not have a hard inner sleeve or a metal Lock-On locking ring. Two handlebar end plugs featuring the Wolf Tooth logo are included.
The long 160 mm design is particularly well suited for bikepacking, touring, fatbike, and adventure bikes where you want to change hand position during the ride. It may also be suitable for steeply swept-back handlebars and other setups where a longer-than-standard grip area is useful.
