Luftkappe is an air piston that does for the fork what the Corset upgrade did for the rear shock: it increases the volume of the air spring's negative chamber. A larger negative air spring improves small-bump sensitivity and makes the air spring more linear, while simultaneously improving mid-stroke support.

Taking everything we learned with the Corset air sleeves, the Luftkappe is a new air piston assembly that enlarges the negative air chamber to reduce the initial spring rate. This lets you run higher air pressure for more support in the middle and end of the stroke with improved sensitivity in the start of the stroke. User installable and simple to set up, the Luftkappe transforms a good fork into a great fork.

Note that this fork usually requires the 34 Float NA2 Evol Luftkappe due to its thicker stanchions having a smaller ID. Exceptions exist - eg some Giant e-bikes, which use the 36 Float NA2 Evol Luftkappe as they are standard 36s despite the e-bike stickers on the fork. |
