Vittoria Mazza Trail – a balance of grip, rolling efficiency and control
The Mazza Trail is built on years of elite racing experience and Vittoria’s most advanced tire technology. Its defined, sturdy center tread rolls efficiently on harder surfaces while providing reliable grip under braking and acceleration. Deep, rotation-direction-oriented sipes in the center tread reduce rolling resistance and improve lateral grip, especially on berms and uneven trails.
The stepped leading edges of the center tread act as rolling ramps on flat, hard surfaces while digging in effectively on climbs. Generous spacing between the knobs helps the tire shed mud and loose debris, maintaining grip in changing conditions.
Cornering grip comes from Vittoria’s progressive sipe-width technology. The inner edges of the side knobs are soft and grippy, while the outer edges remain stable under heavy loads. This provides an exceptionally predictable ride and dependable cornering grip on rocks, roots and loose gravel, without sudden loss of traction.
The Mazza Trail uses Vittoria’s 4C construction, with four different Graphene 2.0 compounds precisely layered. The tread compound remains tacky and grippy, while the base supports the knobs under braking and cornering. This improves durability, reduces rolling resistance and maintains the tire’s performance over extended active use.
The Trail casing, with 120 TPI nylon fabric, offers an excellent combination of low weight, damping and protection for technical trail riding and e-MTB use. The Tubeless Ready construction allows lower tire pressures, better grip and a reduced risk of punctures.
