Vittoria Air-Liner Gravel – lightweight shock absorption and sidewall support for narrow tires

Air-Liner Gravel brings the Air-Liner technology familiar from off-road riding to narrower, knobby gravel and CX tires. The high-density polymer foam structure acts as a dynamic damper inside the tire: it absorbs sharp vibrations from small irregularities, while resistance increases during harder impacts to prevent rim strikes and snakebite punctures. In practice, the insert acts like a shock absorber inside the tire.

The insert supports the tire sidewalls in corners and locks the tire firmly against the rim edge, which improves lateral stability and prevents the tire from folding or losing air at low pressures. This allows for lower PSI, enabling the tire to conform better to the terrain, improving grip during climbs and braking, and reducing the constant vibration and rider fatigue caused by gravel surfaces.

Air-Liner Gravel does not absorb sealant; it is protected with a waterproof coating and is compatible with ammonia-free tubeless sealants. In the event of a tire puncture, the insert also offers run-flat properties, allowing riding to continue for up to about an hour. The adjustable-length design allows use in both 650B and 700c tires, and the insert is designed to withstand up to 2000 hours of riding.
