Description
Pivot Trailcat SL 29 Team XTR Di2
The Pivot Trailcat SL 29 Team XTR Di2 is a modern trail bike for riders who want to combine a lightweight XC-inspired frame, aggressive trail geometry, and top-tier components into one exceptionally fast and versatile package. The Trailcat SL is designed for riders who value efficient climbing, precise handling, and stable control in technical terrain. The Team XTR Di2 version adds Shimano's latest generation of electronic shifting, Fox Factory suspension, and a lightweight carbon frame built for maximum performance.
The Trailcat SL 29 is a trail bike that combines lightness, agility, and modern mountain bike geometry in a way that works just as well on fast singletrack and technical climbs as it does on long trail rides.
Lightweight carbon frame for modern trail riding
The Trailcat SL 29 is built around Pivot's highest-modulus carbon frame, where stiffness and lightness are optimized for efficient pedaling and precise handling. The frame design efficiently converts the rider's power into forward motion, making the bike exceptionally fast when climbing while remaining stable as speed increases.
Pivot's DW-link suspension provides an extremely efficient pedaling feel and continuous traction on uneven terrain. The suspension is highly sensitive to small bumps while maintaining excellent support on harder impacts and aggressive riding. This makes the Trailcat SL an exceptionally balanced trail bike that performs well on both fast trail rides and technical routes.
The Trailcat SL uses 29” wheels, which improve obstacle-clearing ability, stability, and rolling efficiency on long rides. Modern trail geometry provides a combination of stability on descents and agility in corners, making the bike exceptionally easy to handle in varied terrain.
Shimano XTR Di2 – top-tier electronic shifting
The Trailcat SL Team model is equipped with Shimano XTR Di2 electronic shifting, which provides extremely fast and precise shifting in all conditions. The electronic system maintains its shifting precision even under heavy loads and in technical terrain, making it an excellent choice for modern trail and XC riding.
The 12-speed range provides light enough gears for steep climbs and long ratios for fast riding on flat terrain and descents. The XTR drivetrain is also known for its lightness and durability, making it a perfect fit for the Trailcat SL's performance-oriented character.
Fox Factory suspension
The Trailcat SL Team uses Fox Factory-level suspension, which provides an extremely sensitive and controlled platform for technical trail riding. Fox's Kashima-coated stanchions reduce friction and improve suspension performance on uneven terrain.
The fork and rear shock work seamlessly together with the DW-link suspension, giving the bike an excellent combination of sensitivity, support, and control. The result is a platform that maintains traction on technical climbs and composure on fast descents.
Top-tier components for trail riding
The Trailcat SL Team spec combines lightweight carbon wheels, powerful brakes, and a precisely functioning cockpit. The package is designed to provide maximum control on technical trails and efficient power transfer on long trail rides.
The dropper post allows for quick saddle adjustment on technical descents, increasing control and confidence. The wide handlebar and modern stem provide stability on fast trail rides and precision in corners.

Backstory
The Trailcat SL and LT were developed in the spirit of Pivot's favorite models to offer something new and different – something we were missing but knew we needed. When we launched the lightweight 27.5-inch Shadowcat, we and our customers immediately knew that a 29-inch version would also be fantastic. But we already had the Switchblade. However, the Switchblade had evolved to become even more capable and enduro-oriented, leaving room for a new and exciting model. At the same time, we were also developing the Shuttle SL, which struck the perfect balance between performance and ride feel.
Now was the right time to update the Trail 429 and Trail 429 Enduro models. They set the bar high, but like Pivot, we knew we could do even better – and so the Trailcat SL and Trailcat LT were born. Two new models with a top-tier pedigree that take trail riding to the next level.
Trailcat SL – REDEFINING LIMITS
The exceptionally lightweight, sharp, and effortlessly fast Trailcat SL deserves its place as the perfect trail companion. Its lightweight frame and precisely tuned dw-link suspension make climbing effortless, turning technical climbs into opportunities. It is agile enough to handle steep corners and stable enough to master fast descents. The Trailcat SL combines efficiency, precision, and stability in a way that builds confidence on every route. Whether it's an evening ride or an all-day adventure, this bike takes every riding experience to the next level.

Trailcat LT – FIERCE BUT CONTROLLED
The Trailcat LT doesn't fit the traditional definition of a trail bike – it is made for those who want more. If 120 mm of travel isn't enough, but you don't want to lose the agility and pedaling efficiency of a short-travel bike, the LT is the answer! It combines the agility and aggressive character of a short-travel trail bike, which thrives on both fast flow trails and steep, technical descents. When the trail gets fierce, the LT handles the challenges better than expected. If you want efficiency on climbs but confidence on wild descents, the Trailcat LT is made just for you. No compromises – just pure, boundary-breaking fun.

One frame, two bikes
The Trailcat SL and LT share the same front and rear triangles and lower dw-link. The geometry and suspension differ due to the upper links, shock mount, and different shock lengths, so each model is fine-tuned for its intended use.

Toolshed™ storage system
Pivot's new Toolshed™ frame storage system keeps the most important tools safe and easily accessible. It reduces clutter and allows quick access to tools on all your rides. Frame storage is completely silent and ensures that tools do not rattle even on the roughest trails.
The Toolshed™ door magnet keeps quick-release fasteners easily accessible, and the loop inside the door allows tools to be attached (strap not included). Each Trailcat includes two Toolshed™ bags with room for an inner tube, basic tools, and even a small snack.

New cable port design
The new dual cable port allows two cables to be routed through the same port, making cable routing cleaner and more practical. The larger opening makes installation easier and optimizes cable routing. In addition, the integrated cable guides inside the Toolshed™ storage area keep cables organized.

dw-link
dw-link suspension maximizes traction and pedaling efficiency on every climb, while maintaining a supple, bottom-out-free feel on fast descents. The Trailcat SL pedals like an XC bike and descends better than any 120 mm travel bike. The Trailcat LT, on the other hand, pedals like a short-travel trail bike and descends like an enduro racer.

Flip Chip adjustment
Thanks to the "Low" and "High" settings of the Pivot Flip Chip system, riders can adjust the geometry or adapt the bike to different wheel sizes. The higher bottom bracket setting raises the bottom bracket and steepens the head tube angle by 0.5 degrees, also allowing the use of a 27.5-inch rear wheel, making all Trailcat SL and LT sizes compatible with mixed and full-size wheels.

Fine-tuning Pivot's ride feel
-
Suitable for riders in the 150 cm – 195 cm range (XS–XL sizes)
-
Weight and stiffness analysis optimized for each frame size ensures consistent performance
-
Custom carbon construction ensures an optimal ride feel for riders of all sizes

Modern trail geometry
The unique placement of the upper links and shock mount points allows the Trailcat SL and LT geometries to be fine-tuned to suit the performance requirements of each model.

Top-spec builds
Three uncompromising spec levels allow for the perfect build for every rider's style. The Pro and Team models feature Fox Factory suspension, while the Ride model offers Fox Performance suspension. The FOX Live Valve Neo update brings even more versatility and performance to the Trailcat models.
