Description
The SRAM Hydraulic Hose Barb Driver Hand-Held is a manual tool for precise, controlled installation of hydraulic hose barb fittings. It is intended for servicing SRAM and Avid hydraulic brakes and compatible RockShox hydraulic hoses, as well as shortening hoses and preparing hose ends.
When shortening a hydraulic hose or replacing a hose fitting, the barb fitting must be inserted straight and to the correct depth. Installation by hand or with the wrong tool can damage the inside of the hose, cause the fitting to sit at an angle or result in an insecure connection. The SRAM Hydraulic Hose Barb Driver holds the hose firmly in place and helps you press or twist the barb fitting neatly into the end of the hose.
The tool is ideal for workshop use, home maintenance and bike building when shortening or replacing SRAM hydraulic brake hoses. The compact hand-held design is easy to use without a separate bench tool that needs to be secured to a workbench.

The SRAM Hydraulic Hose Barb Driver is designed for installing hydraulic hose barb fittings. Its clamp holds the hose in place, allowing the barb fitting to be installed straight and with control. This makes the job neater and reduces the risk of flattening the hose, inserting the fitting at an angle or damaging the end of the hose.
The tool is used especially when shortening or replacing brake hoses and servicing brakes. SRAM hydraulic brakes require the correct SRAM-compatible barbs and compression fittings for the brake model.
