The SRAM XG-1150 is an 11-speed mountain bike cassette for the SRAM XD freehub body. The wide 10–42T range provides an easy 42T climbing gear for steep hills and a 10T smallest cog for fast riding.

The FULL PIN design connects the steel cogs together with stainless steel pins. The open design helps clear mud and dirt from between the cogs and keeps shifting working even in demanding off-road conditions.

Durable FULL PIN Design and Wide Range for Off-Road Riding

The SRAM XG-1150 is an 11-speed 10–42T cassette for the SRAM XD freehub body. The wide range is particularly suitable for 1x11 drivetrains, where a single front chainring is used to combine an easy climbing gear with sufficient range for fast riding. The 42-tooth largest cog makes steep climbs and technical off-road sections easier, while the 10-tooth smallest cog provides a significantly wider overall range than a traditional cassette starting with an 11-tooth cog.

The cog spacings are 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-36-42T. The spacing is designed to keep the differences between gears manageable while riding, yet the overall range remains wide enough for mountain biking, trail riding, and other use in varied terrain.

The XG-1150 uses SRAM's FULL PIN design. Individual steel cogs are connected with extremely strong stainless steel pins, making the cassette stiff and durable without the weight of a solid, one-piece cog body. The open design leaves plenty of space between the cogs for mud, water, and debris to fall away, helping the drivetrain operate smoothly even in wet and dirty conditions.

The cogs are made from 4130 chromoly steel, which withstands chain wear and high drivetrain loads well. The black JET finish gives the cassette a uniform appearance and protects the surface of the cogs during use.

The SRAM XD mount allows the use of a 10-tooth smallest cog. The cassette therefore requires an XD-compatible freehub body and is not suitable for a standard Shimano/SRAM HG freehub body. When installing, it is important to ensure the correct freehub standard and drivetrain compatibility with an 11-speed SRAM system.

The XG-1150 is a practical option for SRAM GX 1x11 drivetrains and other compatible SRAM 11-speed MTB setups. Weighing approximately 394 grams, it offers a good combination of wide range, durability, and reasonable weight for active off-road riding.
