The Smith Bobcat Photochromic is a lightweight sport glass with a wide field of view, designed for mountain biking, gravel riding, road cycling, running, and winter sports. The Matte Black frame and ChromaPop Photochromic Brown lens offer a versatile combination for varying light conditions, as the photochromic lens adapts to ambient brightness and helps maintain clear visibility on forest trails, gravel roads, and open terrain alike.
The Bobcat combines the coverage of goggles with the lightweight feel of sunglasses. The large, single-piece lens protects the eyes from wind, debris, and light, while the breathable design keeps the glasses comfortable even during high-intensity rides. ChromaPop lens technology enhances contrast and color definition, helping you perceive roots, rocks, ruts, and surface contours more accurately in rapidly changing terrain.

The Smith Bobcat is designed for active use, where the glasses must stay securely in place, provide extensive coverage, and perform in changing lighting conditions. The ChromaPop Photochromic Brown lens darkens or lightens depending on the amount of light, so the same glasses work for early starts, shaded forest sections, bright sun, and evening rides. The lens's 10–66% light transmission makes it an extremely versatile option for cyclists who do not want to swap lenses for every weather or light condition.
The Bobcat's large lens provides a wide field of view and effectively protects the eyes from wind, dust, sand, branches, and spray. The 5-base lens curvature and lightweight wraparound design provide protection without feeling too enclosed. Strategic ventilation helps reduce fogging, which is essential especially during slow climbs, damp weather, and temperature fluctuations.
The frame is made from Smith's lightweight and durable Evolve bio-based material. The Megol temples and two-position adjustable nose pad improve grip even when sweating, so the glasses stay firmly in place during technical trail riding, gravel rides, and high-speed descents.
