The Shimano CL-MT001 is a modern and versatile SPD cleat designed to make engagement easier and improve comfort in all cycling conditions. The cleat offers multi-directional engagement, meaning the foot can be clicked into the pedal from the front or rear, or by pushing the foot straight down. This makes the cleat particularly user-friendly for technical trail riding, gravel rides, and urban cycling, where fast and reliable re-engagement is important.
The CL-MT001 model features approximately four degrees of "float," which gives the foot natural lateral movement and reduces knee strain during long rides. The cleat's structure is low-profile and shaped to facilitate walking whenever you need to get off the bike. The thinner, tapered design makes your stride more stable and quieter, making the cleat excellent for touring, commuting, and other daily use.
