More control and integration on your next gravel adventure – This is what the electronic components of the RX825 series promise, with which Shimano expands the GRX family with proven and improved Di2 functionality. The STI levers that define the wireless cockpit are designed for use in mixed terrain and combine sophisticated ergonomics with fast, wireless shifting performance.

A special feature is the third button inside the hoods, which can control the front derailleur via the FRONT SHIFT NEXT function, allowing the chain to be easily switched to the unused chainring. Since all the operating buttons of the ST-RX825 shift/brake levers can be freely configured using the E-TUBE Project Cyclist app, the switch can also be used in other ways, for example, switching between individual displays of a compatible bike computer. If this is still not enough customization, you can connect your Dual Control lever to one of the three SW-RS801 satellite shifter options (sold separately).

The design of the GRX Di2 brake and shift levers is based on their mechanical counterpart, which adapts to modern gravel handlebars with ample flare. The slightly rounded shape not only ensures a seamless transition to the widening handlebar but also increases the contact surface together with the raised horns, which reduces the risk of pressure points. In addition to the rubber grip's side surface, the non-slip coating on the brake lever blade provides the necessary grip. Speaking of brakes: the proven SERVO WAVE technology ensures particularly good modulation during braking. In addition, the brake lever handle width (Reach) and pressure point (Free Stroke) are adjustable.

The hydraulic GRX BR-RX820 hydraulic brake caliper represents superior braking power in difficult terrain. Thanks to improved dosing and a faster-engaging pressure point, gravel riders experience a completely new sense of control. In addition, despite its flatter design, the Flatmount disc brake caliper is quieter and easier to maintain than ever before. The 10% increase in the gap between brake pads reduces noise, and the proven One Way Bleeding system makes maintenance easier.

SERVO WAVE | Since the brake lever dampens a large part of the braking distance right at the beginning of its movement, the brake pads come into contact with the brake disc faster, and more of the brake lever's movement is left for modulating the braking force. Thus, SERVOWAVE brake systems are characterized by a faster response, better performance, and shorter freeplay.

J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System) | In brake systems with a J-Kit brake hose connection, the brake lever has an integrated compression fitting (olive), which makes installing and removing the brake hose much easier overall.

Ice Technologies | To keep braking power consistently high during prolonged continuous use, Shimano has developed the Ice-Tech cooling technology for brake rotors and brake pads. Brake pads equipped with Ice Technologies technology have aluminum cooling fins that dissipate heat more effectively.
