Original Shimano Flat Mount Mounting Screw
Original Shimano mounting screw for Flat Mount brake calipers and brake adapters. Available in Type A, B, C, and C2 versions for different mounting applications.
Select the screw based on how the brake caliper, adapter, and frame are mounted. For Type C and C2 options, the stated 20, 25, or 30 mm refers to the thickness of the frame's Flat Mount mounting point, not the overall length of the screw.
Types A, B, C, and C2 for Different Applications
Type A Y8N204000 mounts a front brake Flat Mount adapter to the fork.
Type B Y8N206000 is a brake caliper mounting screw for a Flat Mount adapter.
Types C and C2 are screws designed for rear brake Flat Mount mounting. The correct length depends on the thickness of the frame's mounting point.
Type C:
20 mm frame = 33 mm screw, Y8PU08010
25 mm frame = 38 mm screw, Y8PU08020
30 mm frame = 43 mm screw, Y8PU08030
Type C2:
20 mm frame = 29 mm screw, Y2HW08010
25 mm frame = 34 mm screw, Y2HW08020
30 mm frame = 39 mm screw, Y2HW08030
Types C and C2 are not the same screw. Check the screw type required by the brake caliper and frame before ordering.

Mounting screw for a front brake caliper Flat Mount mounting adapter. Used on, for example, Shimano Ultegra BR-R8170 / BR-R8070, 105 BR-R7170 / BR-R7070, and GRX BR-RX820 / BR-RX810 brakes.
Type B – Y8N206000
Mounting screw for a front brake caliper to a Flat Mount adapter. Used on many Shimano Road and GRX Flat Mount brakes. Older calipers use Type B screws, while one of the mounting screws on newer models is Type B2.
Type B2 – Y2HW06010
The second mounting screw for a newer generation front brake caliper. Compatible with, for example, Shimano Dura-Ace BR-R9270, Ultegra BR-R8170, 105 BR-R7170, and GRX BR-RX820 brake calipers. The B2 screw is used together with the correct Type B screw.
Type C – Y8PU08010 / Y8PU08020 / Y8PU08030
Rear brake caliper Flat Mount mounting screw. Select the appropriate length based on the thickness of the frame's Flat Mount mounting point.
20 mm frame – Y8PU08010 – 33 mm screw
25 mm frame – Y8PU08020 – 38 mm screw
30 mm frame – Y8PU08030 – 43 mm screw
Type C screws are used on Shimano Road and GRX Flat Mount rear brakes. In newer brake calipers, Type C is used together with a Type C2 screw. Older models, such as BR-R8070, BR-R7070, and BR-RX810, use Type C screws for rear mounting without a C2 version.
Type C2 – Y2HW08010 / Y2HW08020 / Y2HW08030
The second mounting screw for a newer generation Flat Mount rear brake caliper. Used together with the corresponding Type C screw on, for example, Shimano Dura-Ace BR-R9270, Ultegra BR-R8170, 105 BR-R7170, and GRX BR-RX820 brake calipers.
