Shimano Deore XT disc brake set consisting of the BL-M8200 lever and hydraulic BR-M8200 caliper. SERVOWAVE technology, which manages friction between the brake pads and disc rotor throughout braking, delivers an optimised performance curve and correspondingly more balanced braking power. In addition, the entire brake system benefits from the low-viscosity mineral oil introduced with the XTR M9200 series. With a lower viscosity than the previous version, it keeps braking performance consistent across a wider temperature range. The Easy Hose Joint System makes maintenance smooth and straightforward, greatly simplifying brake hose replacement.

The robust, two-piece, 2-piston BR-M8200 is the most durable and powerful caliper in the M8200 range. Thanks to the new low-viscosity oil, M8200 brakes deliver consistent performance in all temperatures and weather conditions, while the updated brake pad design helps eliminate unwanted braking noise. The result is improved power, control and reliability.

Component updates: an improved seal design and low-viscosity oil ensure reliable operation at all temperatures.

Heat dissipation: resin or metal brake pads, with or without cooling fins, deliver top-level braking performance when paired with Shimano disc rotors.

Designed with ergonomics and the human hand in mind, the Shimano XT BL-M8200 2-finger hydraulic brake lever offers a powerful pull with smooth lever feel and modulation for ultimate control in combination with the 2-piston BR-M8200 caliper. A new, closer pivot point follows the natural arc of the finger, while the 5-degree upturned lever and tuned grip width favor a natural position for confidently tackling technical trail sections.

The XT BR-M8200 2-piston hydraulic brake caliper with post-mount standard is a further development of SHIMANO's lightest post-mount brake caliper to date and is suitable in combination with the BL-M8200 brake lever for the Cross-Country. Heat-resistant plastic pistons, resin and metal lining options and the new low-viscosity mineral oil make the M8200 brake caliper the ideal option for all two-piston braking requirements.
