Charge a detached Shimano battery separately from the bike
The Shimano STEPS SM-BTE80 is a charging adapter for charging integrated Shimano E-Bike batteries when removed from the bike. The adapter connects a compatible battery to a Shimano EC-E6000, EC-E6002, or EC-E8004 charger.
Essential adapter for integrated STEPS batteries
The SM-BTE80 allows you to charge a compatible Shimano battery when it is detached from the bike and the battery casing does not have a charging port that fits the charger directly.
The adapter is compatible with, among others, Shimano BT-E8035, BT-E8035-L, and BT-E8036 batteries. Shimano also lists the SM-BTE80 as compatible with several BT-EN805 and BT-EN806 series batteries.
This is an original Shimano STEPS spare part. The adapter is not an independent charger; a compatible Shimano charger is required for use.
