Schwalbe Albert Gravity Pro Soft Radial MTB tire
The Schwalbe Albert Gravity Pro Soft Radial 29x2.50 is an MTB tire designed for aggressive trail, enduro, and gravity riding, utilizing Schwalbe's radial construction. The Addix Soft compound, Gravity Pro casing, and large contact patch provide excellent grip, stability, and damping in technical terrain.
Radial construction increases grip and control in difficult terrain
The Albert utilizes Schwalbe's Radial construction, in which the casing fabric angle differs from that of a traditional MTB tire. This allows the casing to flex more effectively with the terrain, so the tire adapts to roots, rocks, and uneven surfaces better than before. In practice, this increases the contact patch by up to around 30%, which increases grip especially in leans and braking.
The radial construction also improves damping. The tire reacts more sensitively to small impacts and follows the terrain more smoothly, which brings more control at high speeds and reduces bouncing in technical riding.
Gravity Pro casing for heavy-duty use
Gravity Pro is Schwalbe's reinforced gravity casing, which offers high lateral support, puncture protection, and stability at low tire pressures. This makes the tire an extremely effective option for aggressive trail and enduro riding as well as for electric mountain bikes.
The reinforced casing supports the tire in hard corners and reduces tire instability at low pressures. At the same time, the construction withstands hard impacts, bike park use, and rocky terrain well. ECE-R75 approval enables use also in powerful electric mountain bikes at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Addix Soft offers a balance between grip and rolling resistance
The Addix Soft compound is designed for trail and gravity riding, where strong grip is needed but also reasonable rolling resistance. It works well on wet roots, rocks, and loose sand, but rolls more easily than the softest gravity compounds.
The Albert tread pattern combines a fast-rolling center tread with aggressive side knobs. This brings stability in leans and effective braking grip on steep descents. The tire works particularly well on a modern long-travel trail and enduro bike.
