The Renthal Apex V2 Stem 35mm Black is a high-quality MTB stem for modern trail, enduro, all-mountain, and e-mountain bike use. It is designed for 35 mm handlebars and 1 1/8" fork steerers, and is available in this product listing in 33 mm and 40 mm lengths.
The Apex V2 combines a lightweight design, high torsional stiffness, and the finish typical of Renthal. The stem body is forged and CNC-machined from 2014 aluminum, and the handlebar clamps are manufactured from 7050 aluminum. The construction is designed to withstand hard mountain riding without unnecessary weight.
A wide stem body, a broad 240-degree handlebar clamping area, and a Zero-Gap bottom mounting help support the handlebar effectively. The side-located steerer tube clamping makes the rear of the stem tidy and helps provide a strong grip around the steerer tube.
The 33 mm length suits a rider who wants a faster and more direct steering feel. The 40 mm length offers slightly more composed steering and increases reach without making the cockpit feel long. Both lengths are well-suited to modern mountain bikes equipped with wide handlebars.
Renthal Apex V2 35 Black – V2-generation stem for demanding mountain riding
The Renthal Apex V2 is an updated version of Renthal's well-known Apex stem. The V2 construction is designed to meet the demands of modern frames, wider handlebars, and more aggressive riding styles. The result is a stem that combines XC-style lightness, stiffness suitable for enduro riding, and the durability required for freeride use.
The stem body is manufactured by forging and CNC machining. Excess material has been removed from the inside to keep the weight low, while the exterior remains strong and finished. The wide 56 mm body profile increases torsional stiffness and makes the cockpit precise even during hard riding, steep descents, and on technical trails.
The handlebar attachment is based on Renthal's two-piece 240-degree clamp design. The clamps are slid over the narrower part of the bar to the center, allowing material to be removed from the front of the stem without weakening the handlebar support. The Zero-Gap design on the underside improves bar support and ensures controlled tightening.
The Black / Black finish makes the stem understated and easy to match with other components. It is particularly well-suited to Renthal Fatbar, Fatbar Lite, and other 35 mm clamp diameter handlebars.
