Description
The Pivot Mach 4 SL Team XX SL Eagle Transmission Flight Attendant is the most technically advanced and automated high-end full-suspension carbon mountain bike in the XC collection, designed for maximum racing speed and pedaling efficiency across varied terrain. The new Mach 4 SL platform combines Pivot's highest-modulus carbon frame, DW-link suspension, and the RockShox Flight Attendant system into a package that adapts automatically to the terrain. The Team Flight Attendant version is made for the rider who wants not only absolute performance but also an intelligent platform that optimizes efficiency with every pedal stroke.
Pivot Mach 4 SL Team Flight Attendant – an intelligent XC race machine
The Mach 4 SL Team Flight Attendant is built around Pivot's highest-modulus carbon frame, where the stiffness-to-weight ratio is optimized for maximum acceleration and efficient power transfer. The frame geometry and DW-link kinematics produce a combination where the bike climbs extremely efficiently while maintaining stable and precise control as speed increases and terrain turns technical. This makes the Mach 4 SL an XC race machine that performs both on steep climbs and on fast, rough track sections.
The Flight Attendant suspension system brings an automatically adapting platform to the Mach 4 SL. The RockShox SID Ultimate Flight Attendant fork and SIDLuxe Ultimate Flight Attendant rear shock adjust damping in real-time based on terrain and pedaling, without any rider input. The system keeps the suspension efficient on climbs and open on technical sections, which increases both speed and control. Additionally, rear travel can be adjusted to 110 or 120 millimeters via a flip-chip solution, allowing the bike's character to be fine-tuned according to the race or terrain.
Drivetrain duties are handled by the SRAM XX SL Eagle Transmission, which is SRAM's lightest and most precise XC drivetrain. The direct frame mounting and ultra-light construction guarantee exceptionally precise shifting even under hard pedaling and in rough terrain. The 12-speed 10–52 gear range offers an optimal combination for steep climbs and high cruising speeds. At the XX SL level, drivetrain mass is minimized without compromising durability, which supports the bike's top-tier acceleration and overall lightness.
For braking, the Mach 4 SL Team Flight Attendant uses SRAM Motive Ultimate 4-piston brakes, which combine an ultra-light construction with powerful modulation for XC use. A 180 mm front rotor and 160 mm rear rotor provide sufficient stopping power on technical descents while maintaining race-level weight. This brake package supports the bike's fast and precise nature, where control is maintained as speed increases.
The cockpit is executed entirely in carbon with a Phoenix Team Flat Carbon handlebar (760 mm wide) and a Phoenix Team XC/Trail stem (60 mm). The carbon handlebar offers maximum stiffness and a highly precise steering feel. Phoenix Factory Lock-On grips finish off the secure hold. The RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post increases control on technical descents and varied terrain, and the Phoenix WTB World Cup Volt Carbon saddle offers an ultra-light, race-level seating solution.
For wheels, the Mach 4 SL Team Flight Attendant uses Reynolds Blacklabel 309/289 XC carbon wheels, which combine ultra-low mass, high stiffness, and instant power transfer. Carbon wheels improve acceleration, steering precision, and energy efficiency in racing. The tire setup, featuring a Maxxis Rekon in the front and a Rekon Race in the rear in 2.4” width, offers a balanced combination of rolling speed, grip, and lightness for modern XC terrain.
The Mach 4 SL Team XX SL Eagle Transmission Flight Attendant represents the pinnacle of Pivot's XC technology. It combines the lightest frame, the lightest drivetrain, and intelligent suspension into a package that automatically optimizes efficiency. This bike is designed for the rider who wants maximum race performance, extreme lightness, and the most advanced XC platform possible.

Faster where it counts
The Mach 4 SL is an XC bike in its purest form – designed for maximum efficiency, honed for precision, and built to dominate the modern race course. It was born from the demands of World Cup XC and long endurance races, combining an ultra-light construction with uncompromising stiffness, control, and efficiency.
This is Pivot's sharpest tool for riders living on the redline – designed to crush climbs and meet the demands of those real trails where races are actually won.

The Legacy of the Mach 4 SL
The Mach 4 SL continues the legacy of Pivot's first bike, the Mach 4 Alloy, introduced in 2007.
The original model laid the foundation for Pivot's focus on efficiency, suspension performance, and race-oriented handling. Since its 2019 debut, the Mach 4 SL has defined the concept of the modern XC bike: light, high-performance, and uncompromisingly fast. Each generation has refined this vision to meet the demands of today's tracks while staying true to the speed and precision where it all began.

Pivot's Ride Tuning design philosophy
At Pivot, every frame size is designed individually with precise strength-to-weight ratio analysis and custom carbon layups.
This process ensures that a small frame size offers the same balance and performance as an XL size – without compromise. By adjusting stiffness and flex individually for each size, every rider gets the same confident handling, efficiency, and responsiveness regardless of height. This is precisely the approach that gives the Mach 4 SL such a refined ride quality.
The Mach 4 SL also features the highest stiffness-to-weight ratio in the Pivot lineup, because every gram and every watt transferred forward are decisive.

Why dw-link?
dw-link is more than just a suspension solution – it is the foundation of every Pivot bike.
By combining precise anti-squat geometry with exceptional sensitivity, it produces a ride feel that pedals efficiently while remaining stable and predictable. On the Mach 4 SL, this balance means that every watt of your pedal stroke is converted directly into forward momentum, while traction remains on roots, rocks, and technical climbs. The result is efficient climbing, calm cornering, and suspension performance that supports the rider in all parts of the trail.

Refined for the ride
