The NoTubes ZTR Baron MK3 29" is a wide and extremely stable plus-size off-road rim designed for maximum control and grip in demanding trail, enduro, and e-MTB riding. Its 35 mm internal width, lightweight yet durable 6069 aluminum construction, and Stan's patented BST tubeless technology make the Baron MK3 an excellent platform for high-volume tires.
ZTR Baron MK3 – maximum control for wide, high-volume tires
The Baron MK3 brings Stan's renowned tubeless expertise and riding experience to plus-size tires. The 35 mm internal width is optimized for 2.80"–3.20" tires, which require exceptional rim stability without losing the tire's natural shape. The wide platform effectively supports the tire, improving cornering grip, braking performance, and confidence in technical situations.
The rim's low-profile, gradually narrowing shape, combined with the 6069 aluminum alloy, enables a lighter yet stiffer and more durable construction compared to traditional plus rims. This results in noticeably better control in roots, rocks, and slow technical sections, as well as surprisingly good rolling performance despite the wide tires.
Stan's patented Bead Socket Technology (BST) is one of the most reliable tubeless solutions on the market. The tire mounts easily, seals effortlessly, and retains air pressure exceptionally well even at low pressures. This reduces rolling resistance, improves grip, and makes tubeless riding more carefree and secure.
The Baron MK3 is designed specifically for riders who use wide, high-volume tires in technical riding or on e-MTBs. The 32-hole construction and high maximum spoke tension enable an extremely durable wheel assembly for heavier riders and demanding use.
