Motorex Racing Fork Oil 4W 1L is a high-quality fork and suspension oil for servicing modern suspension forks and damping systems. It is intended for use when the suspension manufacturer recommends 4W-grade damping oil or an equivalent actual viscosity.
The Racing Fork Oil range is designed for demanding suspension applications that require sensitive initial movement, consistent damping, good air release and stable performance across a range of temperatures. In the Motorex Racing Fork Oil range, 4W viscosity falls into the light damping oil category and is suitable for fork and damper servicing in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Motorex’s 3D Response Technology is designed to reduce friction and stick-slip, or drag during the initial movement of the suspension. The aim is more responsive suspension, smoother damping and reliable performance, even during long rides.
The 1-litre bottle is ideal for bike maintenance, workshop use and active enthusiasts, providing enough oil for several services depending on the quantities specified by the manufacturer.
Racing-grade damping oil for more responsive and consistent suspension performance
The correct suspension oil viscosity directly affects fork and damper performance. Oil that is too thin or too thick can significantly alter damping, rebound speed and fork behavior. For this reason, always choose Motorex Racing Fork Oil 4W in accordance with the suspension manufacturer’s service instructions.
The W grade alone does not tell you everything about how an oil will actually perform, as the kinematic viscosity of 4W oils can vary between manufacturers. Motorex Racing Fork Oil 4W has a viscosity of 16.0 mm²/s at 40 °C and 5.0 mm²/s at 100 °C. These cSt values are worth comparing with the suspension manufacturer’s recommendations if the service instructions specify a more precise oil viscosity.
Racing Fork Oil 4W is designed to reduce foaming and improve air release from the oil. This helps maintain more consistent damping, as foam and air mixed into the oil can impair damping consistency during intensive use.
