The High Roller III is Maxxis’ third-generation interpretation of a classic, positioning its characteristics between the Assegai and the Shorty. The hybrid-like knob pattern makes the tire exceptionally versatile: thanks to its open center tread, it performs in deep mud while simultaneously offering excellent grip and control on dry and hard surfaces as well as on gravel berms in bike parks.

The open and rolling center knobs dig effectively into soft and wet ground, offering strong braking traction and reliable acceleration. The pattern clears quickly and does not clog even in sticky mud. Large and supportive side knobs withstand extreme lean angles without folding, enabling aggressive cornering even at high speeds and in steep berms.

The 3C MaxxGrip rubber compound is Maxxis’ grippiest compound, also used in World Cup level DH and Enduro racing. It provides maximum traction on wet roots, rocks, and bedrock, as well as an extremely precise feel on hard surfaces. The slow-rebound rubber compound increases control and confidence, especially in steep and technical descents.

The Downhill (DH) casing consists of two 60 TPI layers plus a large butyl insert in the sidewalls. This construction offers maximum puncture protection, prevents rim strikes, and makes the tire extremely stable at high speeds. The DH construction is excellently suited for downhill riding, bike park use, and long-travel electric mountain bikes, and the tire is E25-rated for e-MTB use.

The Wide Trail (WT) profile is optimized for a 30–35 mm inner rim width, ensuring that the tire shape and knob performance remain within the intended range on modern wide rims. The Tubeless Ready construction allows for lower tire pressures, better grip, and a lower risk of flats in demanding riding.
