Description
The Maxxis Forekaster GEN2 29×2.6" is a versatile mountain bike tire designed for trail, downcountry, and varied riding conditions. The new generation Forekaster combines a more aggressive tread than its predecessor with good rolling efficiency and secure grip, making it an excellent choice for riders who want a single tire for versatile off-road riding. The 29 x 2.6” size provides added comfort, stability, and grip, especially on technical trails, over roots, and in rocky terrain.
The Forekaster GEN2 is well suited for riders looking for a balanced tire for mixed conditions, including dry, damp, and softer surfaces. The tread offers more braking grip and cornering confidence than lighter XC tires while maintaining good rolling efficiency for active trail riding. This makes the tire a practical choice for both the front and rear when control, forward momentum, and riding confidence are all required.
The 3C MaxxTerra compound provides a good combination of grip, durability, and rolling efficiency. The EXO sidewewall protection offers added durability against rocks, roots, and sharp impacts, while the Tubeless Ready construction allows for tubeless setup at lower pressures for improved grip and puncture protection. The folding sidewall design completes the package as a lightweight, high-performance option for active off-road riding.
