Geosmina Cargo Cage Bag – waterproof fork and frame bag for bikepacking
The Geosmina Cargo Cage Bag Black is a versatile bikepacking bag that includes a waterproof roll-top dry bag and a lightweight Cargo Cage rack designed to fit it. The setup is designed for carrying gear on the front fork, down tube or another compatible mounting point.
The Cargo Cage Bag is ideal for bikepacking trips, gravel riding, mountain biking and ultradistance rides when you want to move lightweight but bulky gear out of your saddle or handlebar bag. You can pack items such as a lightweight down jacket, rainwear, sleeping mat, spare clothes, food, a lightweight stove or other outdoor gear.
The bag is made from 600D nylon with a waterproof TPU laminate. Its seamless, high-frequency welded construction and roll-top closure help keep the contents protected from rain, splashes and dirt. The base is reinforced with double-layer 840D TPU nylon, improving durability when carrying harder or more abrasive items.
The included composite Cargo Cage rack can be mounted to a compatible front fork, frame or bottle cage mounts. The included stainless steel 12 mm clamps and protective foam pads also allow installation on a fork without threaded mounting points, provided the fork is suitable for this type of use.
Versatile dry bag and Anything Cage rack for bike touring
The Geosmina Cargo Cage Bag is a practical solution for riders who want more carrying capacity without a large luggage rack. The load can be distributed along the sides of the bike or lower on the frame, which can improve balance compared with carrying everything in one large bag.
The bag attaches to the rack with two durable nylon straps. The redesigned fastening system lets you remove the bag without fully detaching the straps from the rack. This makes it easier to use during breaks, at camp and whenever you want to quickly take the bag off the bike.
Hypalon reinforcements at the front and back protect the bag from wear and support the attachment. The protective foam pads included with the rack help protect the frame or fork, but frame protection tape is still recommended at all contact points.
The Cargo Cage rack can also be used without the included bag. You can attach a large water bottle, dry bag, sleeping mat or other lightweight gear, as long as the load stays within the rack’s capacity and is securely fastened.
