Description

Garbaruk GEN2.0 10-48T 12-speed Gravel cassette XD/XDR

Garbaruk's second-generation cassette, designed for gravel riding, offers a massive 500% gear range, so you'll have a gear for even the steepest climbs. GEN2.0 is the result of extensive research and development, beginning with an effort to address feedback on existing models and culminating in a completely new design. And the result is truly impressive.

In addition to Garbaruk's familiar features, such as low weight, stiffness and durability, Gen. 2 cassettes stand out for their improved durability, chain control and smoothness. Redesigned shift ramps and a revised tooth profile make the cassette less sensitive to indexing adjustments, while the modified profile of the largest sprocket keeps the chain securely in place at all times, even when pedalling backwards. The tooth design also ensures smoother interaction with the chain, reducing noise and making shifting even smoother.

Garbaruk Gravel GEN2.0 12-speed cassette SRAM XDR

Garbaruk Gravel GEN2.0 is a 12-speed gravel cassette with a very wide gear range for SRAM AXS drivetrains. A range of up to 500% provides a noticeably easier gear for steep climbs and makes a 1x drivetrain more versatile for demanding gravel riding, bikepacking and adventure use.

The second-generation GEN2.0 cassette has been completely redesigned based on Garbaruk's earlier gravel cassettes. Redesigned shift ramps and tooth profiles reduce sensitivity to drivetrain adjustment and improve chain control and shifting smoothness. The new profile of the largest sprocket helps keep the chain securely in place, even when backpedalling.

The new tooth design makes the interaction between the chain and cassette smoother, reducing drivetrain noise and improving shifting smoothness.

The 11 smaller sprockets are machined from a single piece of heat-treated CrMo steel. The largest sprocket is CNC-machined aluminium. This construction combines low weight, high stiffness and good wear resistance. According to Garbaruk, the cassette can also withstand the high torque of e-bikes.

Compatibility

Freehub body: SRAM XD / XDR
Chain: SRAM 12-speed Flattop
Drivetrain: SRAM AXS; check the model-specific requirements below.

10–48T

With SRAM XPLR AXS rear derailleurs, the 10–48T version works on a plug-and-play basis without a Garbaruk derailleur cage. The cassette also allows a reasonable amount of tolerance in derailleur adjustment.

A compatible Garbaruk derailleur cage is required with SRAM road AXS rear derailleurs.

10–50T

The 10–50T version requires a compatible Garbaruk derailleur cage and Garbaruk derailleur pulley set.

This applies to both SRAM Road AXS and XPLR AXS rear derailleurs.
