Garbaruk GEN2.0 Shimano 10–52T 12-speed cassette, Micro Spline

The new Garbaruk GEN2.0 MTB 10-52 cassette is a 12-speed cassette for Shimano 12-speed drivetrains, including all the new Di2 rear derailleurs, and is designed for a MicroSpline freehub. The cassette is made in Europe at Garbaruk’s own production facility, where design, machining and finishing are all carried out under one roof. This is reflected in the quality of the finish and how well the drivetrain performs, even under heavy use.

This cassette is for riders who want a lighter overall drivetrain as well as a more responsive riding feel. It is equally suited to racers, frequent recreational riders and e-bike use, where the load is constantly high and shifting needs to work without compromise.

The cassette is machined from a single billet of hardened chromoly steel, while the largest, silver-colored 52-tooth cog is made from 7075-T6 aluminum. The result is a combination in which the 11 smaller cogs withstand heavy use over the long term, while the largest cog saves weight where it matters most. The total weight is about 355 grams, despite the full 520 percent gear range.

For the GEN2.0 generation, Garbaruk has updated the tooth profiles and shift ramps. Shifting remains precise even under high power, and the chain stays securely on the cogs when backpedaling. The design is also less sensitive to minor adjustment deviations than before, resulting in more reliable and controlled shifting in a variety of conditions.

Micro-chamfers added to the tooth profiles reduce friction and drivetrain noise. Larger open spaces between the cogs help mud and dirt clear quickly, improving chain guidance in wet and challenging conditions. Thanks to its durability, the cassette is also approved for e-bike use.

The cassette is designed for use with Shimano 12-speed chains. This compatibility is essential for drivetrain performance and ensures that the chain and cassette work together exactly as intended.
