The operation should be smooth. You can also apply a little grease to the \u003cstrong\u003eupper tube\u003c\/strong\u003e (1) just above the lower tube (13). Slide the \u003cstrong\u003eupper bushing\u003c\/strong\u003e back over the upper tube and then seat it into the lower tube by pressing it with your thumb and index finger. It should look as shown in the picture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEP 6: TIGHTEN THE MID CAP ASSEMBLY\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNOTE:\u003c\/strong\u003e When the \u003cstrong\u003emid cap assembly\u003c\/strong\u003e is removed from the lower tube, the dropper can extend further than its maximum functional length. Ensure you compress the dropper to mid-travel before screwing the \u003cstrong\u003emid cap assembly\u003c\/strong\u003e back onto the lower tube.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce the \u003cstrong\u003eupper bushing\u003c\/strong\u003e (10) is fully seated inside the \u003cstrong\u003elower tube\u003c\/strong\u003e (13), slide the \u003cstrong\u003emid cap assembly\u003c\/strong\u003e (8,9) down and screw it onto the lower tube by hand. If excess grease collects on the \u003cstrong\u003edust wiper\u003c\/strong\u003e (9), wipe it off with a cloth. If there is more grease than necessary, it may seep through the wiper during the first few uses. This is normal. If you notice excess grease on the wiper, wipe it away so it does not collect debris.
